Liu will work with Dr. Hong Zhang at Argonne National Laboratory on a project that focuses on data-driven discovery of unknown dynamics.

Professor Beste Basciftci from the Department of Business Analytics and Information Systems has been appointed as a new faculty member of the AMCS Program.

Henry Han earned a Ph.D. in AMCS at the University of Iowa in 2004. He then served on the bioinformatics and mathematics faculty at Eastern Michigan University from 2005 to 2012 before moving to Fordham.

Andrew Pensoneault, a 6th year AMCS graduate student, has volunteered to give a few introductory lectures on parallel programming. Starting November 1st until the end of semester it will be held on Mondays at 3:30PM in room 218 MLH and also live on zoom.

Sara Reed, an AMCS graduate student is one of only three students across the entire university to receive a Graduate Research Excellence Award from the Office of the Vice President for Research.

Qing Zou won the best student paper award at the IEEE International Symposium on Biomedical Imaging (ISBI) 2021 for his work on the paper Deep Generative SToRM Model for Dynamic Imaging with coauthors Abdul Haeeb Ahmed, Prashant Nagpal, Stanley Kruger, and AMCS advisor Mathews Jacob.
